A matching multi-layer production cel and background setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Cyclops and Wolverine discussing what needs to be done for the future of the X-Men, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces are actual frames of animation that were photographed and appear in the series finale "Graduation Day," which aired on September 20, 1997. Each cel layer matches the background, but the specific frames of the cels might not be precisely matched to each other. Measuring 10.5"x12.75" overall, with the character image measuring 7"x5.25", the piece is in very good condition. The cel displays minor scratches, surface wear, and light line fade. The background displays some paint transfer damage from being adhered to the the paint of a different cel, resulting in a few areas of missing paint. Also included are a pair of matching production drawings.
